description Take the Virtual Tour! - CAYUGA LAKE STATE PARK Cayuga Lake State Park's terrain is flat at lakeshore, where the beach and sun lawns are, then slopes gently uphill to campsites and cabins. The scenic highlight of the park is its expansive view of Cayuga Lake. In the shallow water near the park, largemouth bass, bullheads and carp thrive. In deeper water, anglers can catch northern pike, small mouth bass, lake trout, landlocked salmon and many other varieties of fish.

facilitiesDescription The park has a beach, boat launch sites, handicapped-accessible cabins and campsites, a dumping station, recycling stations, picnic tables and pavilions, a playground and playing fields, and showers. The vacation rental cottage, located off Lower Lake Road on the lake, is shaded by mature trees and offers a fully enclosed porch with a lake view. The park provides lake rights. Spacious grounds with picnic tables and a campfire ring adorn the property, and a lakefront dock is available.

importantInformation Each year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised, due to lack of lifeguard coverage or water quality issues, swimming will be prohibited and therefore cannot be a guaranteed activity. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice. See HERE for all current swimming closures! IMPORTANT: New York State Parks encourages everyone to be safe outdoors. Please take a few moments to read about the health risks associated with tick bites and some simple steps you can take to safeguard you and your family. http://www.governor.ny.gov/press/04092014Ticks To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. This campground allows 1 night stays for campsites only. Each campsite allows either 2 tents OR 1 tent and 1 hard-wheeled camping unit. When booking cabins or cottages during the peak season the length of stay must be either 7 or 14 days maximum. During non-peak season cabins have a 2-night minimum stay. Only 2 pet per site is allowed. Rabies certificate required. Pets must not be left unattended and are required to be on a leash no longer than 6ft. NO smoking or pets allowed in Full Service Cottage. Access Pass is NOT accepted for the Full Service Cottage at Cayuga Lake. Peak Season: During peak season, a camping party and their equipment may occupy a site for a maximum of 14 continuous days. After which, the camping party and equipment must leave the site and facility for 2 days before registering again for another site. To rent a site you must be at least 18 years of age and occupy the site during the stay.
